The Ebira Doctors’ Forum (EDF) has congratulated His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo and Hon. Joel Oyibo Salifu, as the 5th Executive Governor and Deputy Governor of Kogi State respectively.
The congratulatory message was made known in a statement jointly issued by the President and Secretary of EDF, Dr. Zubair Kabiru and Dr. Shaibu Moses on Sunday in Lokoja.
The forum assured the governor of their full support and cooperation as he embarked on the noble task of governing Kogi State.
The EDF also expressed their gratitude to the immediate past Governor, Alh Yahaya Bello, for his exemplary service and achievements in the past eight years.
“We, the members of the Ebira Doctors’ Forum (EDF), are delighted to congratulate you on your swearing-in as the Governor and Deputy Governor of Kogi State.
“Your victory in the November 2023 governorship election is a testament to your vision, integrity, and dedication to the people of Kogi State.
“We pray that God will grant you the grace, courage, and wisdom to lead the state to greater heights of development and prosperity.
“We also wish to express our gratitude and appreciation to the outgoing Governor, Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello, for his exemplary service and achievements in the past eight years,” the forum stated.
The EDF noted that the immediate past governor had laid a solid foundation for the growth and transformation of the state, especially in the health sector.
The forum stressed that Bello had improved the quality and accessibility of health care services for the citizens, adding that “he started strong and finished even stronger. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors”.
The Ebira doctors further commended Ododo for his actions in appointing key government officials and nominating some commissioners.
“We are particularly thrilled by your swift and decisive actions in appointing key government officials and nominating some commissioners.
“We are especially proud of the nomination of one of our esteemed members, Dr. Abdulazeez Adeiza Adams, as a commissioner nominee, who was the personal physician to outgoing Governor for the Eight years he served the State”
“We are confident that he will bring his wealth of experience and expertise to the health sector and work with you to build on the legacy of your predecessor.
“We assure you of our full support and cooperation as you embark on this noble task of governing Kogi State.
“We look forward to working with you to improve the health and well-being of the people of Kogi State,” the Forum assured.
