The member of the House of Representatives Yagba East, Yagba West, Mopamuro Federal Constituency and Chairman House Committee on Customs &Excise, Hon. Leke Joseph Abejide has congratulated the newly sworn-in Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo on his assumption into office as the 5th Executive governor of Kogi State.
He also congratulated the new Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comr. Joel Oyibo urged the people of Kogi State to support the new governor and his deputy for the growth and development of the State.
Abejide in his congratulatory message issued today described the governorship election and swearing-in as Kogi State Governor as the will of God for Kogi State, urged Ododo to initiate and promote pro-people projects and prioritise the welfare of citizens to earn the respect and support of the people.
Abejide, who attended the swearing-in ceremony, along with the Hon. Arc Salman Idris, and other members of the House of Representatives from Kogi state urged Ododo to run an inclusive government and work in the interest of Kogi state to initiate human, capital and infrastructural developments across the State.
Hon. Leke Abejide congratulates the former Governor Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for his service to Kogi State and her people, saying that Bello did his best during his tenure.
“I congratulate Governor Usman Ododo and his deputy, Joel Oyibo on their swearing-in as the governor and deputy Governor of Kogi State following their victory in the November 11th, 2023 gubernatorial election in the state. I also rejoice with their families, friends, associates, and the people of Kogi State on today’s swearing-in ceremony.
“I do not doubt that Ododo/Joel will bring their wealth of experience and administrative acumen to bear in the administration of the
State for the benefit of all citizens; not disappoint the people of Kogi State.
“As an active participant in Kogi State politics and governance and a serving member of the House of Representatives, I believe Ododo’s administration will bring people-oriented programmes and good governance, to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Kogi State in different sectors.
