The Caretaker Chairman of Mopamuro LGA, Hon. Ademola Bello (aka Destiny) have swung into action by summoning an emergency peace and security meeting at the council secretariat today.
The council boss informed the committee members that the security of lives and properties of his people are paramount to him.
He thank the Almighty God for the golden opportunity to serve his people.
He specifically thanked the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello for appointing him as Caretaker Chairman for Mopamuro LGA. He promised to justify the confidence reposed in him by the Governor.
The Caretaker Chairman praised the Governor for transforming the State to an enviable heights. He said the Governor has achieved immensely in terms of Education, Agriculture, Health, infrastructures and most especially in Security.
The Council Boss used the forum to commend the security agencies in the area for ensuring that our people sleep with their two eyes closed.
Destiny however, warned that anyone found guilty of criminal activities and other social vices will be dealt with accordingly.
He appeal to all for useful and vital security information to tame the excesses of men of the underworld. He promised to put an end to farmers/herders crisis in the area.
In his remark, the DPO in the area SP Apiapia Pere congratulated the Caretaker Chairman and promised to work with him with other sister agencies in the area.
He informed the council boss that Mopamuro LGA is relatively calm with just pockets of theft and little cases of burglary. He however promised total support and cooperation to the Chairman in ensuring that Mopamuro LGA is free from all manner of crime.
Moreso, The Alamuro of Amuro land HRM Oba (Engr) Aiyedogbon Alfred Modupe (JP) use the medium to once again congratulate Hon. Ademola Bello on his appointment.
He advised the Caretaker Chairman to look into porous borders across the nook and cranny of Mopamuro LGA, indiscriminate falling of trees by timber contractors and illegal miners in the area. In addition, he call on the him to reorganize the community local vigilante to curb the influx of illegal immigrants and strange faces in the area. He assured the council boss of total cooperation of all the traditional rulers in the area.
The Assembly member representing Mopamuro LGA in the State House of Assembly Hon. Olawumi Jacob assured the committee members of total cooperation and support to the security agencies in the area.
He commended the security agencies in the area for their untiring efforts to ensure that lives and properties of our people are secured.
The DLG/HOS in the area Elder Michael Eseyin also use the avenue to congratulate Hon. Ademola Bello Destiny for the opportunity to serve his people and assured members that with the vast knowledge in security, the council boss will bring his wealth of experience to bear in ensuring that Mopamuro LGA attain her rightful place and a pride to all.
