Kogi State chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), on Wednesday restated its commitment to sanction members involved in anti party activities in the November 11, 2023 governorship election.
The party also assured all loyal members who staked their lives for the party, would have nothing to worry about as the party is ready to reward them handsomely.
The party Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello, while receiving report of the Election Review Committee set up three weeks ago to do a forensic audit of its performance at the 2023 poll.
The chairman commended the committee for painstakingly working on the assignment, assuring them of full implemention of the report.
He promised critical stakeholders, party leaders and other members who worked tirelessly for the success of the party, assuring that their efforts would be rewarded accordingly.
Presenting the report to the Party, committee’s co-chairman, Bashir Abubakar Gegu pointed out that the committee met with all the stakeholders and members and were able to get relevant information useful to the work of the committee.
He added that the committee in its efforts to give fair hearing to those involved, provided the platform to ventilate their defence, and sat ten times across the state.
He called on the party to consider seriously the issue of logistics, security, mobilisation and early release of funds to ensure seamless election in the future.
The committee also advocated for disciplinary measures against the erring members and to reward those who worked assiduously for the success of the party.
The committee had the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Umar Aliyu Yusuf as chairman while Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman served as secretary.
