Kogi State Commissioner for Environment and Ecological Management, Engr. Olusegun Joseph, has admonished stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Yagba West LGA to embrace peace and unity.
Engr. Joseph gave the advice during an interactive session with the APC stakeholders across the 14 wards in Yagba West Local Government Area, in his office on Tuesday in Lokoja.
He thanked the party leaders for their overwhelming support for the party and His Experiency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and urged them to embrace peace and remain united, to ensure the party’s success beyond 2027.
He explained that the essence of the meeting was to foster unity and peace among members of the party to enable it to win more seats beyond 2024 election.
He stressed that peace and unity remained sacrosanct for the progress of the party.
The commissioner implored the party leaders to continue to drum support for Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and the APC to succeed in the state and at the national level.
“His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is doing well in almost all sectors of the economy in the state; because we want the party to be stronger and better in 2027 and beyond.
“Let’s forgive and forget the past and embrace unity for the progress of our great party,” he appealed.
In their separate remarks, the Yagba West APC Leaders, assured the commissioner of their determination to make the party more stronger and better in the area.
Hon. Philip Sesan Orebiyi, urged the stakeholders and other members of the party to be loyal and supportive to Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration to succeed.
Orebiyi assured that the Yagba West APC would work together with the Commissioner to ensure the progress of the party beyond 2027.
Also speaking, Hon. Aderonke Aro; Otunba Ibikunle Idowu – Kuli and Otunba Tunji Aro, all appreciated the interactive meeting initiative and pledged their total support and loyalty to the party.
On their part, the Kogi State ALGON Chairman, Hon.Tosin Olokun; Mrs Daudu; Hon Emmanuel Folorunsho; and Hon.Timi Joseph, all pledged their readiness to continue to work in unity for the progress of the party in Yagba west and the state at large.
The stakeholders appreciated the Governor for for his leadership intervention in Yagba west and the state at large, while calling on the people of the state to support the Ododo’s administration to succeed.
The meeting also had in attendance APC Yagba West Party Chairman; Local Government Secretary; Former Council Leader and Ex Local Government Chairmen.
Other were: former Local government secretaries, Representative of Senator Sunday Karimi, Representative of Dr.Muyi Aina,Former SSAs; former SA to the governor, among others.
