Kogi State House of Assembly on Wednesday screened and approved the appointments of three additional commissioner nominees, two of which were just forwarded by Gov Ahmed Usman Ododo.
While giving the report of Committee of the Whole, the Speaker, Rt Hon Umar Aliyu Yusuf disclosed that the three Commissioner designates have been found worthy to serve as Commissioners for the state after thorough screening.
The nominees are:
Hon Wemi Jones (Kabba/Bunu)
Hon Mohammed Muktar Shuaibu (Bassa)
Hon Anyebe Aridaojo Monday (Olamaboro)
Earlier, Speaker Umar Aliyu Yusuf had informed the House through a letter from Gov Ahmed Usman Ododo requesting the trio to be screened as prospective Commissioners, quoting relevant sections of the Constitution that justify the request.
