It was Jubilation galor in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State as Hon. Abdulrasheed Adabara Ovosi, the Special Adviser on Intergovernmental Affairs to return home to appreciate his immediate Constituents for their support to the present administration in the State.
At his arrival in Okene, his first point of call was the Palace of the Ohinoyi of Ebira, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, to get his royal blessings and fatherly advice as he begins his new assignment.
The Revered Traditional Ruler, HRM Dr. Ahmed Anaje, who wholeheartedly welcomed Hon. Ovosi and his team to the Palace, congratulated him on his appointment to serve as an Aide to the State Governor.
The Ohinoyi of Ebira told Ovosi that Leadership is a call to service, noting that beyond the title, and the fame, leadership position is also a call to become a Servant to the people.
He enjoined the appointee to serve as a good Ambassador of the Governor at the grassroots, stressing that such will go a long way at helping the people at the grassroots feel the impact of governance.
While praying for the success of the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo-led administration in State, the Ohinoyi of Ebira called on the people to support and also pray for the success of the present government in the Confluence State.
Earlier, the SA on Intergovernmental Affairs to the Governor, Hon. Abdulrasheed Adabara Ovosi, said he was in the Palace to formally present himself to the Ohinoyi and appreciate his fatherly role his ascension of the throne.
He appreciated the Ohinoyi for his royal pronouncement of blessings on him and his Principal, Governor Ododo, promising to live up to expectations in the discharge of his duties.
After the Palace visit, Hon. Ovosi and his Team moved straight to his Otutu Ward in Okene, where he was received by crowd of jubilant supporters who rolled out drums and dressed in different attires, singing and displaying various dance steps.
The joyous appointee, Hon. Ovosi, said his joy knows no bound over the unexpected warm reception accorded him, describing them as men and women of impeccable character.
He also eulogized the Founder of Independent Campaign Council (ICC), Adams Onota and Members of the Group for their support love shown towards him, promising that he will not disappoint them.
Hon. Ovosi assured the people that Governor Ododo is out to better the lives of the citizens if the State, calling for more support for the present administration to enable them bring to reality, their laughable plans for the people.
Those at the event described Hon. Ovosi as a square peg in a square hole, adding that they have no doubt in his ability to deliver the needed results in his new Office.
