The New Managing Director, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA) in Kogi State, Hon. Ahovi Salam Ibrahim, has assured that the Agency will come alive under his Leadership.
Hon. Ahovi gave the assurance during the Handing Over Ceremony conducted at the premises of the Agency in Lokoja, Kogi State Capital.
He said haven heard from the Director of Administration of RUWASSA of the bag loads of challenges facing the Agency coupled with the physical infrastructure decadence, it was obvious that his appointment was a call to rigourous service as Managing Director.
Hon. Ahovi who embarked on a tour of facilities at the RUWASSA Premises said some of the machines provided by UNICEF that have not been put to use for years will be repaired, expressing optimism that the Agency will in no distant time, take her rightful place as it will become productive.
“Its like what I am inheriting today as the Managing Director of RUWASSA in Kogi State is a dead structure. But I think that God who made it in this Ramadan has His reason
“God will turn this place around and bring alive again, everything that is dead here. With the help of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and other critical stakeholders with the interest of the development of the State at heart, I am sure this place will become productive again”he assured.
The RUWASSA Boss appreciated the contributions of Kogi State Accountant General, Hajiya Oyiza Tijani Onumoko to his life, describing her as a great destiny Helper.
He said having men and women of great repute around him with the young people looking up to him to serve as a compass, he cannot afford to fail in his new assignment, promising to live up to expectations in the discharge of his duties.
The Kogi State Director of Administration in RUWASSA during the handing over ceremony, briefed the new MD of the various challenges that has kept the Agency stagnant, expressing belief in the ability of Hon. Ahovi at turning things around for good in the Agency.
Appointees of the Present administration, friends and other well wishers, attended the ceremony.
