Kogi L-PRES Trains Farmers Helpline Assistants

The Kogi State Project Coordinating Unit of Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES) has taken a significant step forward with the commencement of training for about 105 Farmers Helpline Assistants across the 21 Local Government Areas of the State.

According to the State Project Coordinator, Dr. Olufemi Bolarin, the Farmers Helpline Assistants will play a crucial role in profiling the beneficiaries on the functionality of the project.

He emphasized that “the Farmers Helpline Assistants are integral to the success of the project particularly in ensuring targeted and effective support to the farming community.”

The coordinator also noted that the profiling exercise will involve identifying other helpline hubs of other similar World Bank Funded Projects in the state to enhance additional fundings, directly to farmers.

Some of the Farmers Helpline Assistants, Sanni Adeiza, Ogijo Elizabeth, and Emmanuel Juwon applauded the Kogi L-PRES Project, saying they are committed to playing their part in the implementation of the project.

They noted that the project was a thoughtful ideas that will bring prosperity to livestock farming in Kogi State.
