The passage followed the adoption of the report of the House Standing Committee on Appropriation Budget Monitoring and Economic Planning.
At the clause by clause consideration by the committee of supply, the Speaker Aliyu Umar Yusuf said the bill had in it authorized recurrent expenditure of over one hundred and forty five point seven billion naira while the authorized capital expenditure stood at over one hundred and twelve point five billion naira.
