The Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman, Igalamela/Odolu LGA, Hon. Shedrack Achile in company of Comr. Alih Nasir, has paid an official visit to the National Assembly, Abuja to meet Kogi East Senator, Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho and Rt. Hon. David Idris Zachariah, member representing Idah Federal Constituency in their respective offices.
The official visit is predicated on the plan of the local government administration to put up a well equipped and functional skill acquisition center in collaboration with the national assembly members to engage youths of the local government meaningfully and take them off the streets in an effort to curtail rising vices in the society.
Receiving the proposal, the national assembly members commended the initiative of the administration of Barr. Cosmas Atabor and pledged their total support towards the actualisation of the brilliant initiative, stating that the most sustainable way to have a viable economy and improved security is by engaging the youths with entrepreneurial skills to empower them economically. The members acknowledged the need for workable collaborations amongst all tiers and arms of government to serve the people better. They committed to extending their supports to the local government as soon as possible.
