An All Progressive Congress (APC) Stalwart in Kwara State, Hon. Lukman Olukayode Ahmed has felicitated with the Executive Governor of the State, His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulkarnaini Gambari CFR, and Muslim Ummah all over the World on this year’s occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr celebration.

Comrade Lukman who is the Immediate Past Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation Kwara Central to the Governor of Kwara State, urged the Citizens to imbibe virtues of peace, love and unity thought by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) which should reflect in the life style of all for a better society.

While Congratulating the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and the World for witnessing another Eid-ul-Fitr celebration after thirty days (30) fast in the holy month of Ramadan, Hon. Ahmed admonished the people to continue to promote peaceful coexistence, religious tolerance and national unity, among other virtues that will ensure accelerated progress and socioeconomic development of the State and nation at large.

Comrade Lukman also called on Muslims in Nigeria to renew their commitment to the principle of Islam and maintain the high philosophical standards of honesty, discipline, faithfulness, contentment and sacrifice to enable them contribute meaningfully to the peace, prosperity and progress of Kwara State and the nation at large.

“The values of tolerance, sacrifice and love for Almighty Allah and fellow human beings are more relevant and necessary than ever before in the nation and the world, stating that everyone has a stake in a peaceful and prosperous society where they could live, earn their livelihoods, worship their creator in different ways and realize the reason for their existence”, he said
