CUSTECH Attack: Kogi Govt. Activates Security Architecture To Track Kidnappers, Release Abducted Students

Kogi State Government has activated the security architecture of the State to track and arrest the kidnappers that abducted some students of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara.

In a press release signed by the State’s Commissioner for Information, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the government confirmed the incidence which happened in the school campus on Thursday at about 21:00, describing it a disturbing news.

The government said hundreds of local hunters who understand the terrain and conventional security agents are currently combing the area to ensure safe rescue of the abducted students who were kidnapped in the classrooms.

The government announced that so far 9 students have been reported missing, assuring students, parents and the entire people of Kogi State that the Government is on top of the situation and all the abducted students will be rescued alive.

“Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has also directed that security agents be positioned around all tertiary institutions in the State”, the statement added.

The government commend the local hunters and other security agents for their gallantry, standing stoutly to engage kidnappers, ensuring they didn’t have a field day which would have been more calamitous.

“The State Government will spare nothing in ensuring that all the students abducted are safely rescued and reunited with their families. We won’t submit to terror. We shall prevail”, the statement concluded.
