South East Traditional Rulers Chairman, HRM Igwe Asadu, Empowers Visually Impaired UNN Students With #2 Million Naira

In a heartwarming display of generosity and community support, the Chairman, South East Traditional Rulers Council and Chairman, Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Sir Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu, Igwe Ogadagidi of Edem-Ani Nsukka, has extended his benevolent act towards visually impaired students of the University of Nigeria NSUKKA who paid him homage at his Palace in Nsukka, Enugu State.

 

The delegation of the visually impaired Students from UNN, led by Prince Sebastian Chiagozie from the Political Science Department, came to pay a royal Homage and Congratulatory visit to the revered Traditional Ruler on his Inauguration as the Chairman of South East Traditional Rulers Council and to further highlight the plight of visually impaired students in the University.

His Royal Majesty, Igwe Ogadagidi appreciated them for the visit and encouraged them to give their best in their academic pursuit, noting that there is ability in disability, urging them to strive to succeed not minding the challenges they encounter.

His Majesty further made a donation of #2 million naira to the students who visited him to cover their educational expenses, enable them access essential support services tailored to their needs, and help them reach their full potential and pursue their academic goals with confidence.

The visually impaired students who received the generous support from the traditional ruler, were overwhelmed with gratitude.

Ejah Manifest from Mass Communication Department, appreciated the Traditional Ruler for his kind donation, describing it as a huge encouragement to beneficiaries.

“This donation means the world to us. It gives us hope and motivation to pursue our dreams despite our challenges”.

Similarly, Nwazu Precious from the Social Work Department, added that “We feel seen and valued, knowing that His Royal Majesty Igwe Ogadagidi is standing by us”.

Reacting to the news of Igwe Ogadagidi’s donation of #2 Million Naira to support the visually impaired students of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, the Technical Assistant on Communication, Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria on Students Engagement – Amb. Timothy Nwachukwu, described the generosity and empathy of HRM Igwe Sir Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu (Igwe Ogadagidi) as life changing development for the beneficiaries.

Amb. Nwachukwu stated that the traditional ruler’s donation to the special students exemplifies the power of kindness and generosity and that through his act of benevolence, he has also instilled a sense of hope and belonging to the visually impaired students and their Community.
