Leke Abejide To Attend Ododo’s Inauguration

Hon. Leke Abejide of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), representing Yagba Federal Constituency in House of Representative, also a candidate in the just concluded Governorship Election in Kogi State has announced that he will be attending the inauguration and swearing ceremony of Ododo Ahmed Usman as Governor of Kogi State on Saturday, 27th of January.

He made this known in a statement sent across social media by his media aide, Eunice Ibukunoluwa Abraham on Friday.

Recall that Governor-elect, Ododo Usman paid a new year visit to Abejide on 1st of January, 2024 and Abejide also paid visit to outgoing Governor Yahaya Bello on 21st January.

Abejide in his message said the visit was to deal with issues affecting his (Yagba) people and Kogi State generally, entrenching that politics is over and it is time for Governance, and Kogi State must move forward.

Against insinuations that he has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abejide said as a former member of the APC, he still has leaders there and if he is going to decamp to the APC, it is going to be an independent decision, that he will carry along all his political associates and supporters.

He further said politics is not war and he will be attending Ododo’s swearing in, burthressing his slogan of “politics without bitterness”.
