Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group Calls for Good Governance in Kogi, Solicit Support for Gov. Ododo

Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group @ Liberty Hotels, Lokoja

The Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group has called on the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo-led Government in Kogi State to deliver good governance to the people of the State.

 

The Group made the call during a meeting held at the Liberty Hotels, Lokoja, the State Capital.

National Coordinator of the Pressure Group, Chief Richard Asaje, while addressing Members of the Group and other political Stakeholders in the State said after all political battles, good governance must be embraced by the Party in government to impact the lives of the citizens positively.

Chief Asaje stressed the need for all and sundry in Kogi State to come together irrespective of tribe, religion or political Party to work for the progress of the State, pointing out that governance requires the contributions of all.

 

He commended Governor Ododo for his efforts so far since assumption of Office especially in the prompt payment of Salary to Workers and for according attention to the welfare of Pensioners in the State.

 

Baba Asaje assured of the support of the Pressure Group to the success of the present administration, calling on the people to rally round him to take the Confluence State to greater heights.

 

On his part, the Assistant National Coordinator of the Pressure Group, Abdulganiu Abdulwahab, while addressing the gathering, emphasized that Governor Ododo has started on a good note, hence the need for all to support his administration to enable the people of the State enjoy more democracy dividends.

 

He equally charged the Governor to rejuvenate the security architecture of the State, calling on the citizens to be more security conscious for a peaceful environment.

 

Others in their remarks, stressed the need for the people at the rural communities across the State to feel the impact of government.

 

A special demand at the meeting was the call for the State government to pay attention to schools in some Communities of Egan, Kupa, Kakanda, among others in Lokoja Local Government Area.
