The Caretaker Chairman of Adavi LG, Hon. Rasheed Bashir Okatengwu joins other dignitaries from all walks of life to attend the inauguration ceremony of the executive governor of Kogi State, H.E Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo at the Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre, Lokoja.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by high profiled individuals including the outgoing governor, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello CON, the Vice-President of Nigeria, H.E Sen. Kashim Shettima, the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress and immediate past governor of Kano State, H.E Alh. Umar Ganduje and a host of others.
The inauguration ceremony marks the beginning of a renewed hope for the people of Kogi State.
In a brief chat with pressmen at the Civic Centre, Hon. Bashiru Okatengwu noted that the event marks the end of a era but the journey of continuity for a better Kogi State continues.
“We are grateful for the years of service and dedication of our outgoing governor, H.E Alh. Yahaya Bello and we are sure that the incoming governor will not disappoint our people.”
“We know his capacity and we trust the judgement of our leader, the outgoing governor, we have no doubt that Kogi State will progress under his watch. He has been tested and we have no option than to trust and support his government”, Hon. Rasheed Bashir remarked.
