The Arewa Grassroots Leaders Assembly (AGLA) a coalition of community leaders and stakeholders from the Northern region, is issuing this press statement to call on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and all law enforcement agencies to take immediate action against former Kogi State Governor, Mr. Yahaya Bello.
We demand that the EFCC and other relevant agencies do whatever it takes to arrest and prosecute Mr. Yahaya Bello for his numerous offences, including:
– Corruption
– Money laundering
– Terrorism
– Killing of the members of opposition political parties.
Mr. Yahaya Bello’s reign as Governor of Kogi State was marked by gross misconduct, abuse of power, and blatant disregard for the rule of law. His actions caused immense suffering and hardship for the people of Kogi State, and it is only fitting that he faces the full weight of the law.
We urge the EFCC and other law enforcement agencies to act swiftly and decisively in this matter, and to ensure that Mr. Yahaya Bello is held accountable for his crimes.
Justice must be served, and the people of Kogi State demands it.
