Abejide Rains Smile On Constituents With Foods And Empowerment

The people of Yagba East, Yagba West, and Mopamuro Federal Constituency rejoice as the Federal Lawmaker representing the federal constituency distributes bags of rice, beans and empowerment items to constituents.

Hon. Leke Abejide commenced the distribution of food items and empowerment items as palliative to ameliorate hunger and hardship.

Flagging off the distribution, Hon. Abejide said the distribution is part of his commitment to cushion the effect of hunger and help many people to establish a small-scale businesses through the empowerment scheme.

Constituents received different items which included, Cars, Water Pumps, Tricycles, Motorbikes, Sewing Machines, Grinding Machines, Hand Dryers, Generators, Mechanical and Electrical tools.

Abejide said, “I am motivated to embark on this gesture due to the hardship being faced by ordinary Nigerians as a result of the skyrocketing prices of food items in the market.”

The food items were distributed across the 34 wards in Yagba Federal Constituency, where many households would benefit across party lines.

Some of the groups that benefited from the food items and empowerment equipment distributed are widows, leaders, politicians, youth groups and social organisations from the local governments that comprise Yagba including stakeholders.

Abejide explained that this is not the first time he has reached out to his constituents through empowerment and distribution of food items, but this is another massive distribution.

He expressed his commitment to the well-being of his constituents while encouraging the people to make good use of the empowerment equipment.

“These food items are a humble gesture to ease the burden of our families, our local government coordinators should ensure that it gets to the people”.

Responding to one of the beneficiaries, and Yagba West local government ADC Women leader, Mrs Margret describes Hon. Leke Abejide as God sent who has the love of his constituents for many positive things he does.

According to Mrs Odi, Abejide has done a lot in the aspects of road networks, education, infrastructural development and empowerment schemes.

One of the recipients described Abejide as a unique and resilient patriot who has demonstrated trust and commitment to the course of his constituents through numerous beneficial programmes for their welfare and wellbeing.

Mr. Sunday Amodu said it is on record that Hon. Leke Abejide has done excellently well in the aspects of education, agriculture, health, and welfare. He has also reached out to the widows and less privileged through his foundation.

“He has remarkably surpassed the expectations of constituents compared to others who served before him. It’s our prayer he sustains the gesture, he noted.
