The appointment of Dr. George Salim Ogirima Bello as the Managing Director, Kogi State Agricultural Development Project (ADP), has been described as merit based and well-deserved.

Kogi State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Timothy Ojoma, made the assertion in an interview while reacting to the appointment in Lokoja, the State Capital.

Hon. Ojoma said the reappointment of Dr. George by the present administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo was as a result of his good track records while serving under the Former Governor, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello.

Haven seen his previous performances, he expressed confidence that he will live up to expectations in the discharge of his duties in the days ahead.

“His appointment is based on merit, that is his good track records while serving in the same Office in the last administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello

“Now that the government of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has seen the competent in him, I will simply say he is a square peg in a square hole

“I have full confidence in him that he is going to deliver especially with the mandate of ensuring food sufficiency and security in the Confluence State. He is joining hands with the Ministry to ensure that we deliver on the mandate that has been given to us

“My advise for the reappointed MD of Kogi ADP is for him to continue to do what he knows how to do best. I know, the sky is just his starting point”, Hon. Timothy stressed.
