In humility of heart and respect to all irrespective of their position in the Society, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Tijani Muhammed Ahmed Anaje, has observed an iftar (breaking of fast) with Persons Living With Disabilities in the Central Senatorial District of Kogi State.

Surprisingly, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland an extended the invitation to the Special Persons for the Iftar as such also gave them the opportunity to interact with the King of Ebiraland.

Addressing the Special Persons at the event hall of the Palace, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland appreciated them for honouring his invitation to breakfast with him, saying that the invitation was to give them the needed recognition to also create room for them to interact with him.

HRM Dr. Anaje said God is the creator of all men, noting that discrimination should be discouraged in the Society at all cost.

He noted that in every disability, there is ability, encouraging them to continue to push forward as they can still fulfil purpose when they put their hearts to work.

He called on them to sustain their prayers for Leaders in authority and also seized the opportunity to pray for the success of the State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo and also prayed to Allah to elevate the immediate past Governor of the State, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello to greater heights.

The Kogi Central President, Association of Persons Living With Disabilities, Comr. Nazir Abdulhakeem, described the gesture of the Ohinoyi as first of its kind and appreciated the King for the recognition given to the Community of Persons Living With Disabilities.

Going memory lane, Comr. Nazir recalled how the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland assisted him to push his Wheelchair when he serving as the Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi, noting that the humility of the Traditional Ruler is rare in today’s society.

While praying to Allah to see him through, Comrade Nazir enjoined other well-to-do individuals and members of the society to give the Community of Persons Living With Disabilities, the needed recognition and serve as agents of transformation to them.

Highlight of the event was the sharing of food to break their fast which was done in love and appreciation to Allah for the provision.
