Jst as patients and Guidance of Public Secondary Schools Students in Kogi State are praising the initiative of the state government for the payments of WAEC and other external exterminations fee , the Joy of most parents have been cut short with the recent mandatory payment of N5,000 Mock Examination imposed on the SS3 students across the state by the Kogi State Science Technical Education Teaching Service Commission without due diligence and consideration for the current econonomic hardship been faced by most of the parents of public secondary school in the State.
While the parents guidance and their wards are gratefully celebrating the laudable efforts of the state government for coming to their aid, the recent unwholesome development coming from the STETCOM has adversely cut short the good intentions of the state government and has reduced their believes in the administration willingness to alleviate the suffering of the public schools parents in the State.
A cross sections of the parents and guidance who spoke with our correspondence on condition of privacy Lamented the unjustifiable imposition of the N5,000 mock examination fees, Appeal to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to use his good office to urgently reverse the inhuman and anti parents and guidance fees imposition in order to make life more meaningful for them and sustain the tempo of making public secondary school affordable for vulnerable people of the State.
The group of parents and guidance said that the indigent people in their cycle are seriously crying and looking unto Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to come to their rescue as soon as possible.
