Jubilation at Uselu Market as Philanthropist Shares Cash to Petty Traders to Boost their Businesses (VIDEO)

It was Jubilation galor at Uselu Market in Benin City – Edo State as a Custom Officer, Okuonghae Caleb Osariemen, paid an unscheduled visit to the Market to put smiles on the faces petty traders.

 

Okuonghae, during his visit to the Market shared envelopes containing 10,000 to each of the beneficiaries, a gesture they viewed as a great source of encouragement and a boost to their businesses.

 

Some of the beneficiaries during an interview with Newsmen, expressed joy over the cash given to them by the Philanthropist, describing him as a god-sent.

 

Some of the beneficiaries said it would have taken roughly a week to make gain of 10,000, explained that the Cash gift from “Oga Osas” will go a long way in helping them improve their businesses.

From the dept of their heart, they prayed to God to replenish the pocket of the Custom Officer and also prayed for him to live long in sound health and more financial open doors to enable him do more in the days ahead.

 

Speaking about his gesture towards the petty traders, the Philanthropist, Okuonghae Caleb Osariemen, said the act was part of efforts at giving back to the Society to improve the means of livelihood of the citizens of the State.

 

The illustrious son of Edo State recalled how he had once upon a time, engaged in petty businesses in the Market to raise funds to send himself to school, explaining that there is always a starting point in every man’s life.

 

“Many years ago I sold Nylon Bags, I hawked purewater, cooked corn, and I also assisted my Mum to sell things in this market

“Part of the money made then, I added to my school fees. Today, God is blessing me so I have come back to say thank you to God and also give back to the people

“There are people out there that are suffering seriously. With the little I have given, those selling water should be able to go back to buy enough bags of purewater, sell and make more gains. Those selling Minerals will be able to buy more crates of minerals, sell and make more gains, same thing goes to those selling corns among others

“This is my little way of putting smiles on the faces of the people. I want to advice the well-to-do individuals out there to please, show love to the people so that we can have a better society

“I am doing this from my heart, not for anything. I just want the people to know that whatever they are passing through today, tomorrow will always be better”, he added.

 

Comr. Jerome Abraham Ogbeide, while reacting to the gesture of the immigration Officer, described it as a right step in the right direction especially at a point the Country Nigeria, is experiencing economic hardship.

 

While praying to God to continue to strengthen the Immigration Officer to put smiles on the faces of the people, Comr. Jerome encouraged other well-to-do individuals to come to the aide of the downtrodden in the society and give them reasons to revive their hopes of a better future.
