The House of Representatives Member Representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem (SEA) has inaugurated Members of the Ajaokuta Corporate Development Committee.

 

The Committee has Hon. Balogun Yusuf – Chairman, Dr. Sadiq Ibrahim Ogu – Secretary, Barr. Enekola Obeh Sunday – Member, Mal. Yusuf Sadiku Ozomata – Member and Akaaba Abdullahi – Member.

Others include Musa Yakubu – Member, Abdulmalik Salihu – Member, Musa Halilu – Member and Latifah Aspitah Isah as Member.

While delivering his Speech at the Inauguration Ceremony, Hon. Abdulraheem said the establishment of the committee reflects their unwavering commitment to driving development, enhancing operational excellence and ensuring sustainable growth within Ajaokuta.

He noted that the inauguration of the Ajaokuta Corporate Development Committee marks a significant milestone for the future of Ajaokuta Federal constituency, describing the Project as not just an initiative; “it is a beacon of progress, a testament to our collective vision, and a cornerstone of our economic and social advancement”.

The House of Representatives Member explained that the Committee is tasked with a critical mission over the next three months: to assess, evaluate, and recommend improvements in the relationship between Corporate Organizations within the Constituency and the Local Communities within Ajaokuta.

The Committee’s focus will encompass several key areas of Employment, Community Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Local Content Management, Community Solid Mineral Resources Management, Host Community Relations and Community Development Services.

 

Hon. SEA said members of the Ajaokuta Corporate Development Committee are entrusted with a significant responsibility as their findings and recommendations will shape the Area’s future interactions between Corporate Organizations and the community, fostering an environment of collaboration, respect, and shared prosperity.

“In the next three months, your rigorous assessment and thoughtful evaluations will lay the foundation for sustainable and inclusive growth. Your work will ensure that the benefits of corporate presence in our constituency are maximized and equitably distributed

 

“I urge each of you to approach this task with the highest standards of integrity, diligence, and commitment. Engage with all stakeholders, listen to their concerns, and consider their perspectives. Your role is not just to evaluate but to bridge gaps and build stronger, more resilient relationships between corporate entities and the community

 

“Together, let us work towards a future where the Ajaokuta project will not only achieve its strategic objectives but also stands as a model of excellence in corporate governance, community engagement, and sustainable development

 

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to each member of the committee on your appointment. I have full confidence in your abilities and your commitment to this vital task. Let us embark on this journey with determination, integrity, and a collective vision for a brighter future for our Constituency”, he added.
