The newly appointed Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Drug Abuse, Hon. Adori Tijani, has appreciated Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo for finding him worthy to serve as his aide.
Hon. Adori in a statement, noted that the appointment was a call to selfless service, pointing out that “to whom much is given, much more is expected”.
“I want to use this privilege to appreciate His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for this privilege he has given to me to serve in his Cabinet
“His Excellency is a man with a rare vision for the entire people of the Confluence State and I have no doubt in his ability to transforming the State to the admiration of all in no distant time
“I see this appointment as a great call to service. It is not about the title, it is about the responsibility that comes with it. By the grace of God, we shall live up to expectations in the discharge of our duties”, he stressed.
The SSA to the Governor said drug abuse has eaten deep into the fabrics of the Society, causing harm to promising young men and women, terminating the lives of some and has also led some to doing unthinkable things to fellow human.
He said he will do his best to ensure positive change in the Society, emphasizing that collaboration with relevant Agencies, NGOs, Religious Leaders, Traditional Rulers, Captains of Industries, among others will go a long way in ensuring a drug abuse-free Society.
