Yomite Connect Foundation Commissions Office Complex, Empower Hundreds of Less Privilege in Mopamuro

Yomite Connect Foundation has commissioned and opened its new office complex and empowered not less than 100 less privileged in Mopamuro.

The foundation, which was founded by Chief (Dr.) Charles Abayomi Olorunshola, during his remark, urged the beneficiaries to take proper use of the empowerment benefits that they get. He added that the foundation will continually expand its scope and that other persons will benefit subsequently.

Hon. Ademola Bello, aka Destiny, the Chairman of Mopamuro Local Government Area, during the commissioning and his goodwill message, appreciated the foundation and its founder for empowering the people. He took the opportunity to advise the people of Mopamuro generally and not beneficiaries not to despise their days of little beginning.

He added that not everyone has the opportunity for this kind of empowerment and support, urged them to take judicious use of it.

Chief Kunle Abogun, during the empowerment seminar, urged the beneficiaries and others to be hardworking, emphasizing that that is the only way to support themselves, the community, and the government.

Co-founder of the foundation, who is also the wife of the founder, Mrs. Tola Abayomi said the foundation will sponsor young persons between the ages of 18 and 22 who are interested in learning skills ranging from baking and catering, barbing, hair dressing, tailoring, and its like.

The Coordinating Director of the Foundation, Dr. David Ehindero, during the announcenent of the empowerment categories and items, said it is targeted to lubricate the economy of Mopamuro.

He mentioned the categories to be point of sale (POS) machine accompanied with start-up funds, agriculture empowerment, skills empowerment, education support, clothing and feeding support, and business start-up cash support, amongst others.

The cash support ranges from 50,000 to 100,000 naira for their respective purpose.

One of the beneficiaries, Friday Moses, appreciated the foundation and organisers, praying that God will uplift them and that they, as the beneficiaries, will ensure they live up to the advice given earlier.
