The National Coordinator and Founder of the Pressure Group, Chief Richard Asaje, in an interactive session with Political Pundits at Liberty Hotels Lokoja, he described GYB as a remarkable Kogite who actually cares about equity in power rotation of the State beyond power trip, willing to and confronted challenges that paved the way for contemporary Leaders in the younger generation.

“In 2015, we voted and after the death of Prince Abubakar Audu, he (GYB) divinely became Governor of our dear State – Kogi

“It’s obvious that his first 4 years in Office, he operated on brain waves and often messed up even good ideas. We criticized his amusing behavior to be more commited to good governance and should place the interest of Kogi first above personal interest. Why? We don’t have sympathy for devious character/bad Leaders at the corridor of power who intend to abuse such privilege at the expense of it’s citizenry

“But in the last four years of GYB’s second term, he impressed a lot of people in the political circle of Kogi State

“While he continued to pay Local Government Staffers and primary school teachers percentage salaries, GYB’s administration was marked by numerous infrastructure projects, including the construction of roads in Kogi East, Kogi Central, bridges, Hospitals i.e Ultra-Modern Hospital across the three (3) Senatorial Districts of the State, rated one of the best hospital’s in Africa, a University in Osara and what we have been yarning for in Okun, he gave us, Kogi State University Kabba, to mention few…

“These projects have not only improved connectivity and access to essential services but also created job opportunities and boosted local economies. GYB is deviant, as some people want all to believe. If you are out of corridor of power, it is easy to criticize those in power, if you are there can you do better?

“In the area of corrupt charges against GYB, we don’t support crime, and we are not his legal team. If found guilty, the law should take its course. From record, No former Governor has not been accused of corruption but witch-hunt should not set in”, he stressed.

Chief Asaje said he strongly criticized GYB’s choice of Ahmed Usman Ododo as his anointed candidate for Governor in year 2023 but later realized that GYB has not made mistakes, but only looking at a system that will later give Kogi West Senatorial District edge to produce the next Governor of the State, explaining that the lgala’s have recorded 16 years as Governor of Kogi State and after Ododo’s second term of Office, the Ebira’s will also record 16 years as Governor of Kogi State and the next will be Kogi West; completing the EbIgO Agenda.

“Dear Kogites, GYB is a Leader whose vision and youthful energy inspire hope for a brighter and more inclusive future. From observation, Governor Ododo is committed to redefining good governance with a focus on people-centred policies

“Since assumption of Office, as at when due, salaries are paid promptly to local government staff, public school teachers and pensioners. The good people of Kogi State now testify of his rare traits and achievements and can take pride in this development, knowing that their State is on the path to sustainable growth and prosperity

“In Kogi politics, we don’t care about where you come from as long as you can deliver good governance. We urge Governor Ododo to maintain the momentum in infrastructure development and to strive for even greater achievements in the years to come.

Let’s build together a greater KOGI STATE”.
