Sammy Owonilife Foundation, founded by Mr. Samuel Awe the sponsor and organizer of Mopamuro Unity Football Tournament has been commended for the laudable initiative.
The final match of the competition was between Rising Star Mopa and Solace FC Amuro at ACSS Amuro football pitch yesterday the 22nd Dec. Solace FC Amuro won the game through penalty at the end of the 90 minutes which ended in a goalless draw.
The Chairman, Hon Ademola Bello appreciates the sponsor of the competition as the place of football is so paramount in uniting the people together.
The Chairman added #100,000 each to First, second and third position. He promised to support the competition yearly.
Stressing further the need to embrace sporting activities as a way out of channeling the youths away from crime and unproductive activities, he said he had to leave some equally important engagements to attend the event. He encourage and pray to see Mopamuro LGA players playing in future for international clubs as well.
Other dignitaries with the Chairman are; The Alamuro of Amuro HRM Oba Modupe Aiyedogbon, High Chief John Adeniyi, The Aladuge of Agbajogun, Hon Johnson Awe, Councillor Ward 09 and other sports enthusiasts.
