Dr. Tolu Omotugba has emerged Chairman, Kogi State chapter of Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA).
Dr. Omotugba, a veterinary officer with Kogi State government, alongside other executive members emerged at the NVMA congress in Lokoja on Thursday.
The Chairman of the electoral committee, Dr. Hussein Shuaibu made the declaration after the election.
Dr. Shuaibu, the Director, Veterinary and Livestock Department at the Ministry of Agriculture, said the election followed all laid down rules of the association.
Other elected officials of NVMA are: Dr Ocholi Obaje, Vice chairman; Dr Gomina Musa, Secretary; Dr Ummie Oysia Obansa, Assistant Secretary General; Dr Grace Olumoko, Financial Secretary; Dr Hassana Dadaogba, Treasurer and Dr Bashir Mohammed, Public Relations Officer.
Speaking after the inauguration, Dr. Omotugba promised to advance the cause of veterinary doctors in the State.
He thanked members for the confidence reposed in him and promised to live up to expectations.
