Kogi Govt. Under Ododo Commits To More Robust Relationship With The Media

Kogi State Government has assured of a more robust relationship with the media in the State.

The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo, Comrade Oladele Nihi stated this when he paid an unscheduled visit to the State Council of the NUJ in Lokoja.

Comrade Nihi said the present administration is undoubtedly committed to sustaining a cordial partnership with journalists to achieve set goals.

He expressed appreciation to journalists in the State for their support to making the transition from the immediate past administration to the present one a huge success without any hitches assuring of government desire to accord priority to the media.

The CPS described the media as the engine room of any government hence the need for the attention to be given to the sector by Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo led administration.
” If the government must succeed you must get the media right” he stressed.

Comrade Oladele Nihi who promised to run an open door policy and make his office available for useful engagement by all assured the Executive of channeling some of the challenges confronting the Council to the appropriate authority with the assurance of relief some for State Council.

Earlier, the State Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Alhaji Seidu Ademu Haruna had promised unequivocally the support of the Council to the present administration of Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo to take the State to the next level of development.

Alhaji Seidu appealed for timely intervention of the Government for members of the Council to enable them perform their constitutional duties.
