The people of Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State have been advised to remain law abiding and stay calm over the drafting of the Area to the proposed Okura State.
The House of Representatives Member Representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem (SEA), in a statement he personally signed and made available to the Press in Abuja, explained that the concerns of the people are both heard and understood, stating that the well-being, of the people of Ajaokuta is of paramount importance to him.
Hon. Sanni Egidi who said he is committed to ensuring that the interest of the Ebiras is safeguarded, pointed out that all lawful means will adopted to ensure sure proposal is dead on arrival.
“It has come to my attention that are fears about Ajaokuta being included in the proposed Okura State. I want to categorically state that there is no cause for alarm. The process of State creation is a complex and inclusive one, requiring extensive consultations and considerations. Rest assured, any decision regarding the boundaries and inclusion of areas will be made with the utmost transparency and in the best interest of all stakeholders
“I urge you all to remain calm and not entertain any fears or rumors. Our strength lies in our unity and collective resolve. Let us continue to work together, support one another and focus on the development and progress of our dear Constituency”, he stressed.
The House of Representatives Member enjoined the people to reach out to his Office with any Concerns or Questions, promising that he will ensure their voices are heard at every levels of decision making.
