Democracy Day: Abejide Says There Is Hope For A Better Nigeria.

Hon. Leke Abejide, Member House of Representatives and Chairman House Committee on Customs and Excise, celebrates with Nigerians on the occasion of this year’s democracy day.

In his statement while congratulating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nigerians on this year’s democracy,  Hon. Leke Abejide stated that democracy is the only hope for a better Nigeria.

According to him, Nigerians have a lot to celebrate as the country’s democracy has developed in the past twenty-five years.

He expressed delight at how the citizens have embraced democratic governance in the past twenty-five years with the hope of a better Nigeria, saying there is a lot to come in the coming years in terms of dividends of democracy and development.

“Democracy in its purest form only exist to serve the best interest of the people, in an equitable , just transparent and unifying form that enables trust and engenders patriotism and pride in nationhood; and belief in democratic practice and leadership”.

“Let me use this opportunity to pay tribute to out past ans press leaders, who have contributed to deepening our democratic experience and strengthening our political culture, they paid the price for leadership and entrenchment of democracy in Nigeria giving us the hope a better future”.

Abejide called for the continuous support and cooperation of the citizens for the entrenchment and deepening of democracy in the country.

He used the occasion to call on Nigerian leaders at all levels to intensify efforts at making the country’s democracy work for the people.
