“With Ranchor and Acrimony, No Society can Move Forward, Let’s Embrace Dialogue” – Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group to Nigerians

In the face of the current economic hardship in the Country, Nigerians have been cautioned against vandalising National, State and Private Assets as such will compound the Country’s woes.

 

The National Coordinator, Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group, Chief Richard Asaje gave the advice at her meeting held at the Ejire Hotel, in Obajana, Kogi State.

 

Chief Richard said the call was in reaction to the lives lost, property destroyed and the peace of the Nation that have been tampered with at the ongoing #EndBadGovernance Protest in Nigeria.

 

He said the challenges of the Country did not start today, explaining that time was needed by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration to proffer solution to the Nation’s teething challenges.

 

Chief Asaje however affirmed that the citizens are facing hard times but expressed belief that it will be a thing of the past.

 

Rather than resulting to Protest, the Elder Statesman said dialogue and constructive criticism will yield better results as protests in the past have been highjacked by enemies of the State to cause more damage.

 

“In the face of ranchor and acrimony, no Nation can ever make progress. If we are crying that there is hardship and called for National Protest and along the line Nigerians are destroying property belonging to the Government and individuals, are we solving the challenge or we are adding salt to the injury?

 

“Let’s Embrace Dialogue, peace, constructive criticism and other measures that will help us solve the Country’s challenges. I believe there is light at the end of the Tunnel but it will not just come by. The present administration of President Tinubu just came into Office so he wouldn’t have been able to solve decades of challenges within a year because he is not a Magician

 

“Mind you, we are not saying that there are no challenges. Of course, they are glaring for all to see. We are simply pleading with Nigerians to exercise patience and also assist Leaders in authorities with prayers to do the right thing”, he stressed.

 

The Group’s National Coordinator heep praises on Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo for his proactive approach to good governance in the State, saying that his commitment to paying Workers Salary have been commendable.

 

Chief Richard Asaje noted that in the Areas of Agriculture, Infrastructure, Health, among others, Governor Ododo have been doing well, urging him to continue in his good works.

 

Speaking, the Assistant National Coordinator of the Pressure Group, Abdulganiu Abdulwahab, commends Baba Asaje for his commitment and sacrifices at moving the Group forward and urged him to do his best to ensure Members of the Group benefit from the present Government in the State.

 

Other Members in their remarks commended the present Govt. for her efforts, saying that the Group will continually stands for what is right and speak against ills in the Society.

 

They also task incoming Local Government Chairmen in Kogi State to think outside the box especially Wealth creation within their Area.
