S/C VERDICT: Ohinoyi of Ebira Organizes Special Thanksgiving Prayer, Calls for Unity, Love, Togetherness

Ebiras of the Central Senatorial District of Kogi State, gathered at the Ohinoyi of Ebira Central Palace Mosque in Okene, to attend a Special Thanksgiving Prayer to appreciate Allah for the victory of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo at the Supreme Court.

The Special Thanksgiving Prayer which was organised by the Ohinoyi of Ebira, HRM Dr. Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, saw the Chief Imam of Ebiraland, Sheikh Muhammed Salihu Abere, Islamic Clerics from various Mosques in Ebiraland in attendance as they offers prayers for the peace and progress of the State, the Nation, and more wisdom upon those in positions of authority to enable them make right decisions that will impact the lives of the citizens positively.

 

The Ohis of Ajaokuta, Okene, Eika, Ihima and the regent Ohi of Okengwe, attended the Special Prayer Session.

 

HRM Dr. Anaje while addressing the people, said his joy knows no bound over the verdict of the Supreme Court which affirmed Ododo’s Victory at the November 11th 2023 Governorship race in Kogi State, describing the victory as well-deserved.

He said leaders are ordained by Allah, pointing out that Allah will always give power to whom He wishes.

 

The Ohinoyi of Ebira congratulated Governor Ododo, his Cabinet Members, and the entire people of the State over the victory, stressing the need for the people to be more united for the progress of the State.

 

HRM Dr. Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje who said the affirmation of the apex Court was also an indication that the election represented the true voices of Kogites, enjoined Governor Ododo to be magnanimous in victory by extending hands of fellowship to his co-contenders at the poll and create room for idea sharing for the betterment of the Confluence State.

 

The Ohinoyi of Ebira enjoined all Kogites to let go of tongue, religious and political differences to enable them work as one, stressing that no meaningful development can take place in the atmosphere of ranchor and acrimony.

 

He called on Kogites to see themselves as one people on a common course of seeing to the progress of the State, saying that only with such mindset that the visions of the founding fathers of the State will become a reality.

Dr. Anaje charged the people to remain law abiding, seek the good of others and as well, remain their brothers keeper for a better Society.
