Hon. Leke Abejide Member Representing Yagba East,Yagba West and Mopamuro Federal Constituency Attends the official handing over and commissioning of thw 94 Bed Forward Army Base in Egbe By Distinguished Senator Steve Karimi.
In a bid to compliment government’s efforts to combate insecurity and improve the security of lives and properties,stamping out çrimes in Kogi West Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Steve Karimi handed over a self financed Army Base in Egbe to the Nigerian Army.
Hon. Leke Abejide, Chief Mrs Esther Abejide and other dignitaries in attendance. During his address, Hon. Leke Abejide congratulated Distinguished Senator Karimi and everyone present for the wonderful edifice by the Senator.
“As we heard from the Senator the Kogi West is being challenged with insecurity, it has never been so bad as it is now and that is why there is need to beef up security in Kogi West.
“Our people are predominantly farmers, self sufficient and do not depend on government but it is practically impossible to do so now because the insecurity in our area has posed challenges on our people”.
“We are happy that there is a military base here that will help combate crimes and the insecurity, all we can do now is to assist our local hunters to partner with them, they know the terrain better , to make their job easy and effective”, he said.
Hon. Leke stated that in his own capacity, he will support and also work with the security operatives to beef up security in Yagba as he is committed to the service of the people.
Hon. Abejide joined Distinguished Senator Steve Karimi and other Dignitaries to officially commission and hand over the 94 Bed Army Forward Base.
