Obaro Of Kabba Leads OATC To Introduces Elulu Ibeun To Ooni Ogunwusi

Okun Area Traditional Council (OATC), led by its Chairman, Obaro of Kabba, His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi, has introduced Mopa’s new monarch to the traditional council of Ile-Ife, led by Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II.

Oba Owoniyi, during the august visit, introduced the Elulu of Mopa, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Muyiwa Ibeun as one who is befitting of royalty. Added that as a young monarch, Oba Ibeun’s energy, resources, and influences within this short time are beginning to reflect, not only on the development of Mopa and Okunland, but also giving OATC a fresh air.

“Your Imperial Majesty, we have come to present and introduce Oba Muyiwa Ibeun to you as the newest Elulu of Mopa and Oba in our Traditional Council, he is also the Chairman of Mopamuro Traditional Council, we know both of you have a personal relationship before he becomes Elulu, but we have come as the leaders of our collective cultural and traditional heritage.”

“We encourage the interest of young and influencial perons like Oba Ibeun into our traditional council, this will not only develop our land, but will make more youths believe in, and have understanding of our traditional and cultural system and also easily transcend them to the next generation.”

His Royal Majesty, (Oba) Dr. Muyiwa Ibeun, during his speech, appreciated the Ooni, His Imperial Majesty, Adeyeye Ogunwusi for receiving OATC, while thanking the Obaro of Kabba for leading the Council to Ooni’s Palace.

He also appreciated the Ooni for his effort to unite the generation of Oduduwa. He said OATC and Okun people believe in his leadership, and they will continue to support him and collaborate with him on the continuous expansion and unity of the Oduduwa race.

Elejuku of Ejuku in Yagba East Local Government, His Royal Highness, Oba Folorunsho Ayeni appreciate the Ooni for receiving them in his Palace and for taking the unity of the Oduduwa race head on. He called on His Imperial Majesty to involve the Okun People on issues that concern the Yoruba and Oduduwa race, stressing that they are all Oduduwa descendants.

The Olusin of Isanlu-Isin in Kwara State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Oluwagbemiga Oloyede, who was also part of the visit congratulated the Ooni for receiving the Oduduwa descendants of both Kwara and Kogi States, stressing that just like the yoruba speaking ethnicity of Kogi are traced to Ile-Ife, so are those of Kwara.

Describing Oba Muyiwa Ibeun as a friend, ally, and brother, he congratulated him, saying he has brought more colour to Oduduwa monarchies under the leadership of Ooni. He supported the quest that Yoruba ethnicity should be given more recognition because they are traditionally and culturally part of the Oduduwa race.

Ooni Ogunwusi, in his remark, appreciated OATC for always coming back home while congratulating the new Oba, Elulu Ibeun.

“I have known Oba Muyiwa Ibeun for a very long time before he became Elulu and for the short time he has become Oba, he is always yearning for development for Mopa and environs, I congratulate him and most especially people of Mopa and I pray his reign will bring limitless prosperity to Mopa.”

He recalled history on how the Ooni dynasty expanded to Kogi and Kwara States. Appreciated Obaro of Kabba for leading Okun people back home, also Olusin of Isin for remembering their source.

He assured them all of his support for recognition for development, unity, peace, and tranquillity, adding that as Ooni of Ife, he is for all, especially as regards the development of Oduduwa race.
