Obaro Congratulates Women as Elulu Inaugurates MWC

Obaro of Kabba and Chairman Okun Area Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty (HRM), Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi has congratulated Mopa Women and the entire community during the inauguration of Mopa Women Council (MWC) on Friday.

He congratulated them for having a King like Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, adding that he is not only a blessing to Mopa, but to Okun land and Kogi State and Nigeria at large.

He urged them to seize the opportunity to serve the community and also support Oba Ibeun and his developmental strides.

The Elulu of Mopa, HRM, Oba (Dr.) Muyiwa Ibeun, in his personal residence before the entire Mopa Traditional Council inaugurated MWC, he said just like how the Mopa Youth Council (MYC) was reorganised, it becomes imperative have an organised structure for the women folk as this will enhance better development of the community.

He added that having organised community structures like this is a way of human resource development, also that they all represent the interests of other women, they should be responsible to them and the community at large.

Oba of Odole, His Royal Highness (HRH), Oba (Barr.) Bayo James while administering inaugural oath to the woman, he said it becomes important in order for them to put their heart towards the assignment.

Oba Ibeun earlier said work begins immediately as they are expected to complete the MWC structure by electing a coordinator for each of the eight subcommunities that makes up Mopa.

Oba of Okeguru, HRH Williams Olshola Agbaje, in his remark, congratulated them, urges them not to betray Mopa to ensure they fulfil the mandated for their appointment.

The Geberal Coordinator of the Women Council, Mrs. Alice Komolafe, on behalf of MWC, appreciated Oba Ibeun and the MTC for restructuring Mopa for effective development. She also assured them that the community will feel the effect of the women positively.

Praying for them, the Balogun of Mopa, HRH, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Clarence Olafemi said the gods of the land will grant them the wherewithal to serve the community indeed.
