The Executive Chairman of Mopamuro Local Government (LG), Hon. Ademola Bello has inaugurated the 8th Legislative Assembly of the LG, also sworn in the legislative councillors that were just elected in the just concluded local government elections.
During the swearing-in, the Chairman who was penultimately sworn in alongside 20 others by Gov. Usman Ododo in Lokoja on Monday charged the councillors to be loyal to the respective mandates of the wards they represent by showcasing excellent performance.
He also assures them that he will work in the interest of the entire local government, asking for their support for the collective success of their administration.
Present at the swearing-in ceremony are stakeholders, supporters, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the local government, and supporters of each of the councillors, etc …
Immediately after the swearing-in ceremony, the Clerk of the House, Mr. Alaiyemola Moses Olalekan led the house to elect principal officers, and the following person emerged.
Hon. Olupeka Odunayo Mercy – Ward 06 (Female) as the Council Leader, Hon. Oshadare Jackson – Ward 01 (Male) as the Deputy Leader, Hon. (Prince) Segun Adeleye (Male) – Ward 04 as the Majority Leader and Hon. Johnson Awe (Male) – Ward 09 as the Chief Whip.
Councillors of other wards are Ward 2 Olufiran Olushola (Male), Ward 3 Folorunsho Mubo (Female), and Ward 5 Ibrahim Roseline Modupe (Female).
Others are Ward 7 Mark Temidayo Samuel (Male), Ward 8 Elesho Blessing (Female), and Ward 10 Gbenga Abidemi Olamide (Male).
