KOSU Concludes Maiden Academic Session In Less Than 12 Months

Kogi State University (KOSU), Kabba, has ended its first academic session of 2023/2024 as students wrote their final examination today, Friday, 27th of September.

Recall that the varsity admitted 1,200 maiden students after necessary scrutinies in December 2023 and officially kickstarted academic sessions on 16th of January, 2024.

In a media chat with the Vice Chancellor (VC), Professor Kehinde I.T. Eniola and other principal officers of the varsity on Friday, KogiOnlineNg gathered some activities undergone by the citadel, which are;

1. Agribusiness exhibition by students of Business Administration.

2. Two (2) presentations from the Theatre Arts department.

3. African Communication Day by the Department of Mass Communication.

4. The VC, Prof. Eniola was amusingly nicknamed “Apostle of Digital Education” at the Institute of Education, University of Ibadan, Oyo State, after excellently delivering on his paper as Guest Speaker.

5. The VC also presented a paper at Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, Ondo State.

6. 101 (One Hundred and One) students benefitted from the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) of the President Bola Tinubu administration.

The VC, during his speech, appreciated the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, and the incumbent, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman for their supports and contributions for the success of the institution.

He also appreciated Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones; Provost, Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Mopa, Mrs. Victoria Jagboro PhD; Royal Fathers of Kabba, and Okun Development Association (ODA), North America.

All others applauded are Pastor Arowosafe and Mr. Arowosafe, Kabba Development Union, all members of staff and gentlemen of the press.

Principal officers present are Director of Academic Planning, Prof. O.O. Ifatimehin; Dean of Arts and Humanities, Mr. Joshua Ayenifarin PhD.; Dean of Computing and Science, Mr. Lamidi Yusuf PhD, other Faculties and Units Heads.
