Kogi State PDP Chairmanship Seat: Why Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo?

As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) prepares for her Congress where new Leaders will emerge to oversee the affairs of the Party in Kogi State, there is the need to carefully pick men/women that will truly rebuild the Party and return her lost glory in the Confluence State.

In Kogi State, some Members of the PDP has declared their intention to serve as the Chairman of Party with several promises made. This of course is quite expected as the Party’s Chairmanship Seat is meant to be contested for with the hope that the best among the contestants will emerge to oversee the Party’s affairs for a period of time as allowed by the Party.

While the quest for who becomes the next PDP State Chairman in Kogi begins, one name has continued to resonate in the heart of Kogites, especially amongst the Members of the PDP across the Confluence State. He is an easy going personality who has practically demonstrated what true loyalty is in the political terrain. His name is Honourable Muhammed Sanni Gambo. The question now will be…

WHY HON. MUHAMMED SANNI GAMBO?

1. He is a Visionary Leader: Hon. Muhammed Sanni is a man who has his vision for the PDP spelt out. As one who is not comfortable with the state of the Party in Kogi State just like every other loyalists of the Party, he is ready to ensure the Party is catapulted to an enviable height and become a force to reckoned with once again in the State.

2.His LOYALTY to the Party (PDP): Record has it that since joining the Peoples Democratic Party at Inception since 1998 till date, he has never shifted his ground. This is a feat that very few Politicians have achieved Nationwide. A man with this high level of loyalty deserves a chance to serve the Party and her Members as Chairman in the State.

3. He will Serve as a Bridge: Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo is a man who is interested at ensuring unity among the members of the Party in the Confluence State. If given the chance to serve as the Chairman of the PDP in Kogi State, he will serve as a bridge between the East and the West and Central Senatorial District of the State respectively. He will ensure that things works out as expected for the progress of the Party.

4. For the Purpose of Restoration, Vote Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo: No doubt, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State needs a man that will restore her back to the days where it was the Major Party while others then were opposition Parties. Haven spent several years with the Party, Hon. Gambo has the capacity and experience needed to ensure that the lost glory of the PDP is restored in Kogi State. He is prepared to bring leaders of the PDP together to channel a way forward for the Party in the State.

5.He is a Voice of the Voiceless: Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo represents the voice of the people and he will focus on ensuring the welfarism of Party Members is prioritized. As one who is from an Area that has been marginalized for long, he will work to see that everyone from across the State is given equal opportunity to operate in the Party.

These and many more are the reasons why the aspiration of Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo to serve as the Chairman of the PDP in Kogi State must be allowed to see the light of the day.

WHY THE BASSAS?

Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo who hails from the Bassa speaking Area in the Eastern Senatorial District of Kogi State deserves a chance to serve as the Chairman of the PDP in the State as the Area have been marginalized for too long especially when it comes to Leadership position of the Party in the State.

In Kogi East, the Igala speaking people of the Senatorial District have been privileged to serve in various positions of the PDP both at the State and at the National Level. In Kogi East, Zone A (Dekina), Zone B (Idah Axis) and Zone C (Ankpa axis) has served in the highest positions of the Party so it is just wise to go back to sub-Zone A (Bassa) that started it.

Positions of Ambassadors, Ministers, Governor, Senators, the House of Representatives, among others, have been held by the Igala speaking people of the Eastern Senatorial District. For Justice, fairness and equity, it will be wise for the Bassa speaking people to be allowed to serve as the next Chairman of the Party in the State. This is not too much to ask because the Bassas have always given their full support to the Igalas.

Now that the quest for who becomes the next Chairman of the PDP begins, there is need for a level plain ground where the poor and the rich are given equal rights. This is the sellable Candidate that the Igalas, the Okuns, Ebiras and all other tribes in the State should qué behind to serve as the Chairman of the PDP in Kogi State.

THE DELEGATE

To the Delegate, you serve as a bridge between the Politicians and the people and your say matters a lot when it comes to who become the Leader of the Party in the State. It is advisable that while discharging your duties on the said day, you take into consideration the principles of equity, justice and fairness. The rights of the Minority should be protected and a man who represents the voice of the voiceless should be considered for the position.

A vote for Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo is a vote for integrity, a vote for the revolution of PDP in Kogi State and a vote for Transparency and Accountability.

Now is the time for the Leaders and other critical Stakeholders of the PDP to rally round Hon.
