Kogi Council Polls: Mopamuro APC Flags Off Campaign, Begins Ward Rally

The stakeholders and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Mopamuro have led other members and supporters of the party and their candidates to flag off campaigns for the local government election.

The flag off and beginning of the ward rallies was held in Odole, Wards 1&2; extended to Ileteju, Wards 1&3, earlier, Ilai/Oke-Agi Ward 05, and Aiyeteju Agbajogun – Amuro, Ward 9.

Mopa Campaign Council Chairman and Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, while presenting APC flags for
the councilorship candidates and, during his speech, highlighted the achievements of the APC in Mopamuro Local Government, cutting across Alhaji Yahaya Bello administration to the current Usman Ahmed Ododo administration.

He made assurance of coming projects like the delivery of adeqaute academic infrastructures for the newly re-established College of Education (Technical), Mopa; refurbishing and reconstruction of Primary Health Care Centres, and model schools for Mopamuro.

Hon. Ayodele John, aka Delex, speaking, said he won’t market a bad product, added that he marketed Gov. Usman Ododo, and today, he is not regretting it because of the achievements of his administration.

He urged the people to come out enmasee to deliver bulk votes for the Destiny/Joy. In the same way, he is marketing Destiny/Joy, giving more assurance that they will perform beyond expectations.

Hon. Ademola Bello, aka Destiny, during his speech, assured of security and wlefare, saying he will increase Widows Welfare to 20 slots per ward.

The Secretary of the Campaign Council, Hon. (Mrs.) Bolanle Ampitan later on while given the vote of thanks at Ward 9 of Hon. Ademola Bello, wherein the campaign was concluded for the day, assured Mopamuro people that they will not regret supporting the APC candidates and that things will get better.

The spokesperson of the campaign council, Hon. Oluwasegun Elvis Abereoran JP said the candidate is a silent achiever, asking the crowd who they are going to vote for. They answered chorusly and said it Destiny and Joy of the APC.

The House of Assembly Member representing Mopamuro Constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Jacob Olawumi during his speech said it is a good thing that Mopamuro political gladiators have all gathered under the APC, adding that this will make it easier for all political office holders and stakeholders to come in a common front to request and development for the government at the centre.

Hon. Sunday David Moses aka, Alomo assures the Destiny/Joy ticket the support of all Mopamuro, speaking as former Chairman of the Local Government.

Hon. Tope Ajaya aka, Santos while declaring his support for the party and their candidates, advised the councillorship candidates to be sound in their legislations, advised them to make development laws for the Local Government.

Hon. Makinde Oyebode and Chief Dada Aworo, aka Oluode; and Hon. Dennis Komolafe expressed their support for the party by standing with their respective Wards Councillors.

The councilorship candidates from Wards 1 to 10 are;

Ward 1, Hon. Oshadare Jackson (Male); Ward 2, Hon. Olufiran Olushola (Male); Ward 3, Hon. Folorunsho Mubo (Female), Ward 4, Hon. (Prince) Adeleye Segun (Male); and Ward 5, Hon. Ibrahim Roseline Modupe (Female).

Others are Ward 6, Hon. Olupeka Odunayo Mercy (Female); Ward 7, Hon. Temidayo Samuel (Male); Ward 8, Hon. Elesho Blessing (Female);  Ward 9, Hon. Awe Johnson (Male); and Ward 10, Hon. Gbenga Abidemi Olamide (Male).
