Kogi @33: “We’re On The Right Path To Progress Through Our Unique Diversities” – Hon. Leke Abejide

The member representing Yagba Federal Constituency, Kogi State and Chairman House Committee on Customs and Excise has said Kogi State is on the remarkable path to progress inspite all huddles since its creation.

Hon. Abejide stated this while felicitating with all Kogites on the anniversary of the 33rd creation of the State on Tuesday.

He stated that Kogi State is growing on a steady pace on all economic indicators, even though it has not gotten to the expected peak of economic growth, the state is making progress in diversity.

“I am excited to say that in the last 33 years of existence, Kogi State has evolved into a strong, vibrant, strategic component of the Nigerian federation.

“Assessing from all the indices of development, the state is on the path to occupy a place of pride in the Nigerian federation.

“Our unity in diversity has made us unique and as a people with oriented values, our strength is growing in entrepreneurial drive and passion for development.

“Let us continue to unite in prayer seeking God’s blessings and protection for our state and may His divine presence be felt in all we do”.

“As we use this opportunity of this anniversary to take stock, I want to assure you all in the state that it can only get better from here,” he said.

He thanked the youths and people of the state for their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Administration and the Governor of Kogi, His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ododo.

Hon. Leke Abejide called for more support from the people to further strengthen the progressive path to development in the state.

He pledged to continue to do his best to ensure peace and security of the state by working with the government, adding that it is only through sustainable peace that enduring development could thrive in the state.

He said the present administration of Alhaji Usman Ododo is on the pedestal to put the state ahead in terms of security and development, by investing heavily in infrastructural development in all sectors of the state’s economy.

He paid glowing tributes to former governors and their deputies who has served the state, past and present political office holders, civil servants – serving and retired who has actively contributed to the development of the state since it’s creation.

The state will continue to record more successes on the path to progress through our collective efforts to succeed in our unique diversities.
