Members of the Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group in Kogi State have likened Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s Leadership style to an epitome of Hon. Leke Abejide’s Political Ideology.
The Group opined that Governor Ododo’s ideas, values and opinion exhibits a recurring pattern of good governance exemplified by Hon Leke Abejide, a political blueprint for certain social order.
Speaking at a meeting in Obajana, the National Coordinator of the Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group, Chief Richard Asaje, commended Governor Ododo for providing plans of action for public policy making in an attempt to change the social and political arrangements and processes to drive a people oriented programme rather than self-interest approach.
“All great men achieve great feats through distinctive observation. Hon Leke Abejide Education policy in paying WAEC fees for both public and private school in Yagba Federal Constituency and beyond is now being practiced and through the yearly payment for all the secondary students across the 21 LGAs in Kogi State by the State Government
“During the first term of Hon. Leke Abejide as a House of Representatives Member in the Green Chamber, he gave appointment to 143 people which cut across the 34 wards that made up the 3 Local Government Areas in Yagba Federal Constituency. This is why we say Governor Ododo is truly emulating Hon. Leke Abejide’s exemplary political ideology
“Governor Ododo is listening Governor who operates open door policy, playing politics of inclusiveness and polite, we think/believe that Ododo is okay, we should not pull him down with harsh criticism”, he said
Chief Asaje explained further that Governor Ododo’s leadership style and direction are what Kogites needed as he has built experience and a wall of solid political friendship with other political players across the State.
“We are proud of the way Governor Ododo has stood for the belief that we are richer, stronger and more secured when we work with others. We know that sooner than later, we will achieve the collective goals we have set to advance our State welfare. His Excellency is a worthy son, a positive representation created with realism and factuality in mind
“The understanding between Governor Ododo and Hon. Leke Abejide is a critical factor for the development of inclusive, responsive and transparent democracies
“Those who are planning to ruin his government and sue in court of law in a manner that can tear apart his government are political tribalism, ethnic bigotry, self-centered individuals with an agenda to scuttle/make all sorts of allegations concerning the legitimacy of the victory of APC because they were beaten at the polls
“Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has aligned with the left and right political spectrum, is really good to be the best Governor that we ever have in Kogi as he is poised to change the old order of things
“The perceived messiah may become a source of sorrow to many residents and indigenes of Kogi State, let’s rally round Governor Ododo’s administration, he possesses a boundary less mind and sees the whole Kogi State as one single indivisible entity”, Chief Asaje added.
