DSSK Releases First Set of Sixteen Transformers (500kva and 300kva) to Kogi West Communities

The people of Kogi West Senatorial District will soon experience a boost in electricity supply as the contractor handling the electrification initiatives of the Distinguished Senator Sunday Steve Karimi has announced the delivery of the first set of sixteen units of transformers (500KVA and 300KVA) and other electrical appliances.

It will be recalled that the Distinguished Senator Sunday Steve Karimi had earlier received briefs of lack of electricity due to damaged, vandalized transformers or other electrical installations, which has slowed down both the economic and social activities of the people in the area. However, a team of Engineers, contractors, and stakeholders in the power sector were in Kogi West a few months ago to physically assess, collate, and make recommendations.

The sixteen units of transformers, which include a combination of both 500KVA and 300KVA, are to help communities that have been experiencing serious issues with electricity improve the quality of supply in areas across the seven Local Government Areas.

Senator Sunday Steve Karimi is committed to ensuring that good representation and leadership are delivered to the people whose mandate he is representing. The Senator, however, encourages the people to at all times protect any and every government infrastructure in their community against vandals and unauthorized operators handling these infrastructures.

Senator Sunday Steve Karimi promised that more gadgets and fittings are still expected in subsequent sets of deliveries as he promised not to rest until quality electricity in Kogi West is delivered to every nook and cranny.
