The Forum of Local Government Special Assistants to Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has celebrated with him and all citizens of the State on the occasion of the 33rd Anniversary of the creation of the Confluence State.
The Forum of LGSAs in a statement by Hon. Jafar Alim Kamarudeen, describes the celebration as historic milestone, a testament to the resilience, determination and unwavering spirit that have defined the people of Kogi State.
“Over three decades ago, Kogi State was created through the dedication of our founding fathers. Today, as we reflect on the remarkable journey that has brought us to this point, we can take immense pride in the significant strides our State has made from the development of critical infrastructure to the empowerment of our youth, from the preservation of our rich cultural heritage to the promotion of peace and security, Kogi State has continuously evolved, becoming a shining example for others to emulate
“Let’s sustain the existing Unity between the people of the Central, East and Western Senatorial District of the Confluence State irrespective of Tribe, Religion, Class, name them, we are one because the creator of mankind sees us all in that light
“It is our prayer that the journey ahead will be more fruitful, more lucrative, and we also pray that industries will begin to spring out from various corners in the State. We are also looking forward to individuals, partnering with the State government by investing into various sectors of the State where our youth will be more engaged, among others
“On this auspicious occasion, I call on all citizens of Kogi State to rededicate themselves to the values of unity, hard work and Community Service that have defined us as a people
“A new Kogi is rising under the Leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. All we need is for all hands to be on deck so that the vision of the founding fathers of our dear State can be achieved – a State where the Okuns, Igalas, Ebiras, Kakandas, Nupes, Hausas, among others in the State, will see themselves as one.
