As Muslims celebrates the 2024 Eid-Al Adha, they have been advised to embrace the spirit of love, tolerance and unity for a prosperous Country.
A Chairmanship Aspirant in Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State, Queen-Latifah Biola Olarenwaju, made the call in her Sallah Message to the people.
The Arewa Okin noted that the current situation of the Country calls for more patience, fortitude, endurance and patriotism, calling on Nigerians to pray for the Country at every given opportunities.
“The act of sacrifice, one of the major lessons of the Eid-el-Kabir, should be part of our lives at all times. We must cultivate the habits of making sacrifices for ourselves, families, friends, neighbours and of course, our beloved Nation – Nigeria
“In the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir celebration, I enjoin us all to respect our various differences vis-à-vis religion, tribe or political affiliation, and embrace love, unity, tolerance towards peaceful co-existence because the unity in diversity is our strength
“This period requires more patience, fortitude, tolerance, endurance, patriotism and a greater willingness to make personal sacrifices for the good of all
“May Allah SWT accept it as act of Ibadah. Barka De Salah”, she added.
