As soon as the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) releases its portal to Kogi State University Kabba, candidates will still be given admissions this year, the state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Wemi Jones has assured.

The Commissioner gave this assurance while explaining certain issues to the state lawmakers on the floor of the House.

According to him, he has embarked on some administrative procedures which included writing a letter to JAMB for the release of its portal to the university to enable it give admission to candidates this year.

He went further to express optimism that with the admissions given, Gov. Bello would still preside over the matriculation of the first set of students before he leaves office in January.

Earlier, the eloquent Commissioner appreciated the state House of Assembly’s effort in their oversight functions and passage if bills on education sector in the last four years of his assumption of office especially that of KSU Kabba in record time.
