As youth all over the World celebrates 2024 International Youth Day, they have been advised to take advantage of their skills in the Digital World to better their lives and contribute their quota to the progress of the Society.
A Former Aspirant for the position of the National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria, Prince Ishola A. Olatunbosun, made the call while celebrating with Nigerian youth on their auspicious occasion.
Prince Olatunbosun who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria-China Multipurpose Investment International Limited (NCMIIL), described youth as people who are talented in various ways in the digital world, stating that their contributions to innovation is second to none.
He pointed out that Nigerian youth, just like other youth world wide are fast thinkers, solution givers, and a people with innovative minds, urging them to channel their strength in their skills in the digital world to impacting their lives positively.
“The 2024 International Youth Day with the theme: “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development”, is meant to celebrate the digital contributions of youth to the Digital World and to inspire further innovation and collaboration towards achieving sustainable development
“This is important because research has shown that youth are more committed to accessing the internet compared to other age grades on daily basis. It has now become imperative for our youth to take to the good side of their access to the internet and not the other way round
“There are several skills that can be acquired online where they will earn income legitimately, become employed and with time, become employers or Labour. Nigeria as a Country is blessed with such youth across the Nation so we are calling on you all, to take advantage of the current digital innovation for better things
“Become a solution to problems through your digital skills, become an innovator, become that youth that your parents will be proud of, become an agent of positive change in the society and remain focus while chasing your dreams”, he stressed.
He congratulated Nigerian youth on the celebration of the 2024 International Youth Day and prayed to God to grant them more wisdom to be able to fulfill their purpose on earth.
