The Federal Government of Nigeria is set to empower Women across the 36 states and FCT with P.O.S Machines to ensure ease of doing business as part of measures to enhance their socio-economic.
Making this disclosure, the Honorable Minister of Women Affairs, Barr Uju Kennedy reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to promote the wellbeing of Women through the recently launched E-Market portal, designed as a one-stop-shop for women to showcase and market their goods and services and receive direct payments.
According to her, “We had to integrate the free P.O.S machines into the E-Market initiative as this will help to improve their operations, provide flexible payment options, improve efficiency, fasttrack payment time, enhance customer relations and satisfaction among other benefits”.
She added that the proposed operational improvements will improve turnover and customers will tend to place order for more supplies
The empowerment programme will cut across the country as each state and the FCT will receive 1,000 P.O.S machines for the Women.
