Elulu: Gov. Ododo, FGYB, Ooni of Ife, Others to Make Oba Ibeun One Year Anniversary

As Saturday, 17th of May, 2025, makes exactly one year that His Royal Majesty, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, was traditionally installed as the Elulu of Mopa and Chairman, Mopamuro Traditional Council, Mopa town is gearing up to celebrate the anniversary.

Oba Ibeun, who ascended the throne in May 2024. As a renowned business mogul and CEO, his installation is seen as a call to service, bringing new developments and hopes to the kingdom.

Given the significance of this milestone, preparations are underway to honour the monarch’s achievements and contributions to the kingdom.

The Monarch, in a statement signed by him and sent to journalists on Monday, 13th of May, 2025, said Kogi State Governor, His Excellency, Usman Ahmed Ododo; immediate former Kogi State Governor, His Excellency, Yahaya Bello; Ooni of Ife, Aarole Oodua, Adeyeye Ogunwusi – Ojaja will be Special Special Guests of Honor and Royal Fathers respectively.

It has been confirmed that all roads of who is who in Kogi State, some parts of South West and North Central Nigeria, lead to the politically famous city of Mopa on Saturday, 17th of May.

In the event, Chief (Mrs.) Omotola Abimbola Oyefeso shall be conferred Yeye Obaluwa of Mopa Land, while the Secretary to the Government of the State (Kogi), Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade shall be conferred Yeye Oba of Mopa Land.

The people of Mopa are filled with ecstasy as they are confident in their Monarch, owing to his developmental tendencies and the growth he has brought to the land within a year of his reign.
